Bio
Based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Alora describes herself as a self-proclaimed data enthusiast who finds joy in merging her personal passion of helping others and professional love for technology. Achieving her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from PWI’s has taught her the struggles of being only one of a few black women within her disciplines of computer science and data analytics. As a board member of Black Girls Who Math, Alora hopes to use her knowledge of academia and industry to help young black girls prosper on the path to a career in math and/or other STEM fields. When she is not working or studying, she loves to go to the gym, watch YouTube, play video games, and take her five year old pitty, Luna, for long walks.
