Cashira Chery

Cashira is a mathematics instructor who supports and teaches 4th and 5th-grade mathematics for Orange County Public Schools. Cashira believes that conceptually understanding mathematics is important for developing critical thinking skills necessary for real-world scenarios. In addition to teaching, she spends her summers creating and developing a program for middle school students to learn and explore concepts and careers within the fields of Engineering, Medicine & Health Care, US History & Government,  and Animal Science. She has been evaluated as an Effective Teacher based on data and indicators of student learning growth. Cashira holds a BS in Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Mathematics Education from Florida State University.
