Be a part of our 2nd Cohort!
Our upcoming 3-week summer institute provides a comprehensive program to empower students academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking funding for the services we will provide program participants, including ACT/SAT test prep, social-emotional wellness workshops, life skills development, math course preparation, and track courses in STEM. Students will also engage in field experiences, sisterhood bonding, and community service projects.
Students must meet all of the following:

Black/African American
-
Academically motivated with mostly B’s and above (2.8 GPA or higher)

Passing scores on EOC and FSA/FAST exams

Enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th Grade in Public, Charter, Private, or Home School

Can attend both school year (once per month) and summer programming (3 weeks)
Students must meet at least one of the following:

Low income or free/reduced lunch
-
Live in a single parent household
-
Primary language spoken in the home is something other than English
-
First generation in family to attend college
Summer Institute
3 week summer program including key program components: STEM skills (engineer, coding, data science, etc.), field experience, wellness, life skills, and math prep for the upcoming school year.
School Year Workshops
During the school year, BGWM Cohort will meet once per month for career exploration and college readiness.
In Field Mentoring
Each scholar is paired with a Black Woman in STEM to mentor them through high school and college applications.
Sisterhood
Girls within our program will engage in bonding activities to build sisterhood, beginning with our sisterhood weekend on July 5, 2025
